The word "Yoni" is of Sanskrit origin. It relates to the female organ known as the vagina. The male organ penis is referred to as "Lingam" in Sanskrit. The type of yoni is determined by how the Moon is placed in the sky at the time of a female's birth. The Constellation in which the Moon is located at the time of birth is also considered.
