The planet sun is the natural atmakarka in Vedic astrology. The word atmakarka means the soul planet. Sun is the soul planet in Vedic Astrology. Sun is one of the most important planets in Vedic astrology, which is the significator of father, career, government, and success in life. It also represents our soul. A powerful Sun can bring early success and fame to a person on the other hand a weak Sun can result in a delayed career, underconfidence, and frustration.

There are some signs and house placements where the sun gives positive and auspicious results whereas there are some placements that can result in some negative results.
