FULL MOON IN CAPRICORN - AUGUST 1
As the month of August starts, the Sun would be in Cancer at 16 degrees opposing the Moon posited in the opposite sign of Capricorn again at 16 degrees forming the Full Moon for the month. This is the first full Moon and we have yet another Full Moon towards the fag end of August and this would be a rare occurrence said to happen only after a 14 year period. During the Full Moon, the planets of Mercury, Venus and Mars are placed in Leo, the adjacent house of Cancer wherein the Sun is placed. And Saturn from Aquarius would be aspecting these three planets. And with Cancer being of water element, Leo being fire, Capricorn being earth and Aquarius being air, we see that all the four elements stand activated around this time and hence a great period to behold.
This Full Moon and the planet influences around teach us, that despite our strong connections in personal relationships we still have an individual path to tread wherein we have the freedom and the independence to say no to certain things. Venus started its retrograde motion on the 23 rd of July in Leo. And on the 7 th of August, Venus goes back to Cancer due to its retrograde motion. With Venus, the planet of relationships in the emotional watery sign of Cancer, we might encounter some reorganisation in our relationships. In Cancer, Venus is safe from any malefic effects for now. Venus stays in Cancer till the 1 st of October and then crosses over to the sign of Leo once again. It completes its retrograde phase on the 3 rd of September at 19 degrees of Cancer.

A day after the New Moon, the Sun in Cancer shifts position to the adjoining sign of Leo on the 17 th of August and would be here for the next one month period till the 17 th of September and this heralds the Leo season. This Sun in the sign of Leo would be opposed by the retrograde Saturn from the sign of Aquarius and would be aspected by Jupiter and Rahu or the Moon’s North node from the fiery sign of Aries. Hence this Sun transit in Leo gets very important for us.
As the Sun treads through the sign of Leo, the fiery planet of Mars is also posited in Leo. And Mercury also in Leo would be starting its retrograde period on the 23 rd of August.
