MERCURY RETROGRADE –(APRIL 1 – 25)
Mercury entered the fiery sign of Aries from Pisces on the 25 th of March, 2024. Then on the 1 st of April, it retrogrades at 4 degrees of Aries and as part of this phase would be re-entering Pisces on the 9 th of April. With the re-entry of Mercury into Pisces, we would see the Sun leaving Pisces on the 13 th of April. Then Mercury, Venus and the North node of the Moon namely Rahu would be placed in Pisces.
And on the 13 th of April, Mars would be joining the above combination of planets as well. Then on the 25 th of April, Mercury turns direct at 22 degrees of Pisces. This retrograde phase of Mercury in Pisces would give answers to some of our long-lost questions in life. Mercury is said to be debilitated in Pisces, however with the presence of exalted Venus around, positive vibes would prevail.
Mars and Rahu together with the retrograde Mercury makes sure that you prune your relationships and organize things around. Use this Mercury retrograde period to look out for any changes that can be done to improve your professional standing. If needed make amends, work towards new ideas and ideals and try to make new connections that would take you places.
NEW MOON IN PISCES- APRIL 8 (TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE)
On the 8 th of April, the luminaries, Sun and the Moon join together at 26 degrees of Pisces forming the New Moon for April. This also happens to be a total Solar Eclipse due to the conjunction of Rahu or the Moon’s North Node as well. And this is called the Great North American Eclipse as well as it is primarily visible in most of this area.
Do note that the eclipse occurs in the water sign of Pisces being ruled over by the planet of Jupiter. Around this time, Mercury would be in retrograde phase and this would bring about a shift around. Be prepared for some major setbacks in life, it might be a disappointment, some unwanted expenditure or having to start all over again. You ought to handle this tough time ahead and be ready to embrace the changes that come your way. Around the eclipse it would be a low energy period, but a good time to decide what to take along and what to shed off in our life journey. MARS - SATURN CONJUNCTION- APRIL 10
Closely following the eclipse, Mars and Saturn get into conjunction (0 deg) in the zodiac house of Aquarius on the 10 th of April. With an eclipse and Mercury going retrograde, there would be much excitement with this conjunction.
Saturn had entered its sign of Aquarius in January 2023 and would be there till March 2025.That’s quite a good time for Saturn to spend in its own territory when we would be taught some important life lessons. And Mars entered Aquarius on the 15 th of March. And as April moves, Mars closes in on Saturn. This would be a push-pull situation wherein Saturn brings about a restricted and limiting energy while Mars tends to push on things to their limits.
Mars and Saturn when together are always known to bring about some sort of friction. The exact conjunction of Mars and Saturn takes place on the 10 th of April and then after this phase there might be some positive forward movement. After some tough times there would be hope around and scope for some fresh starts.
SUN TRANSITS ARIES –(APRIL 13 – MAY 14)
The Sun transiting through the last degrees of Pisces as April starts enters into the sign of Aries on the 13 th of April. The ruler of Aries is Mars and the Sun is said to be exalted in Aries.
In Aries, the Sun gets into the company of Jupiter posited herein as well. However, Jupiter would be in Aries till the 1 st of May after which it transits to the sign of Taurus. With the Sun in Aries and Jupiter moving onto the sign of Taurus, there are hopes towards new growth and development in our lives.
Things were much overwhelming when the Sun was in the watery sign of Pisces and when an eclipse occurred. But now the Sun in Aries is quite strong due to its exalted position but you are yet to win your race for now. Be slow and steady in your path as the Sun transits through Pisces for a month period till the 14 th of May.
MARS TRANSITS PISCES-( APRIL 22 – JUNE 1)
As April 2024 started Mars had been transiting through the sign of Aquarius wherein it entered into exact conjunction with Saturn and where Mars was stalled by Saturn for quite some time. Then on the 22 nd of April, Mars transits to the sign of Pisces which recently hosted an eclipse. It would be here till the 1 st of June. On the 24 th of April, Venus in Pisces gets out of it and Mars would be left with retrograde Mercury and Rahu in the sign of Pisces. Around this time, Jupiter the ruler of Pisces would be readying itself to enter the sign of Taurus as May starts. Hence the situation in Pisces would be quite unstable for quite some time.
Despite the instability involved, there are positive effects for this Mars transit. Mars would give the energy for any changes or final decisions to be taken now. At times things happen around you without your asking, be prepared to handle the same as well. Mars in Pisces guides us to make plans for our future but we should not cling onto our decisions, instead be willing to make amends for the same. The planning nature of Mars would be influenced by the erratic nature of Rahu in Pisces. However, we might overcome troubles with a little bit of luck and logic around. Keep going, better times are ahead.
On the 23 rd of April, the Moon gets full at 11 degrees of Libra. Expect some wild energy around with the Moon just having come out of the eclipse season. The Sun is in direct opposition(180 deg) to the Sun in Aries which is exalted and which is in the company of Jupiter posited therein.
Use this Full Moon energy to start anything new. You would be at your creative best around the Full Moon, use the energy to advance in areas where there is potential for forward movement. The ruler of Libra namely, Venus is also in exaltation during the Full Moon and hence you would stand nourished and inspired well for now.
VENUS TRANSITS ARIES-( APRIL 24 – MAY 18)
Closely following the Full Moon, Venus in Pisces moves over to the sign of Aries on the 24 th of April and would be here till the 18 th of May. Then it moves to its own house of Taurus where Jupiter would have just entered a couple of weeks back.
Venus that was Exalted in the water sign of Pisces, moves over to Aries where the Sun is presently exalted. Venus moves closer to the Sun and gets into exact combustion on the 28 th of April and from then on, we would not be able to view the Venus in the morning sky. The exact conjunction (0 deg) of Venus and Sun takes place during the first week of June after which Venus changes position from the morning star to the evening star indicating that it would be only visible in the evening sky.
With the Sun taking over the power of Venus, the emphasis would shift on catering to our own personal needs for now. There would be the need to balance between our own personal needs to the needs of the society at large. Managing relationships gets into prime focus around this Venus transit period. Lots of organising changes and balancing acts would be needed to get on track.
