MERCURY DIRECT IN VIRGO - OCTOBER 2
Mercury which started its retrograde motion in September goes direct on the 2 nd of October in Virgo. Now Venus and Sun would also be transiting the sign of Virgo. The Sun would exit Libra on the 17 th and Venus on the 18 th of October. Till their exits, this would be a period when the direct Mercury slowly acquires or gains momentum. Generally Venus is said to be debilitated in Virgo, however with Mercury around the effects would not be felt. A point to note here is that Mercury is said to be exalted in the sign of Virgo.
Around the middle of October, both the Sun and the Venus would leave Libra leaving Mercury behind. Mercury would be there till the 26 th of October and then hops over to Libra to join the Sun and Venus over there. The direct Mercury in Virgo would be aspecting Jupiter in Pisces and this indicates that we would get onto a life hold from where we can try yet again.
FULL MOON IN PISCES- OCTOBER 9
The Moon starts to wax as October starts and gets full at 23 degrees of Pisces on the 9 th of October, which happens to be a Sunday. Pisces is the abode of Jupiter which is presently transiting the same sign and is retrograde as well. And this retrograde Jupiter would be aspected by the retrograde Saturn. With so much of influences around the sign of Pisces, this is a time when we are asked to be quite patient. We need to stay positive and to accept the reality of life. The full Moon would be aspected by Sun, Venus and Mercury all posited in the earthy sign of Virgo.
This full Moon would give us a clarity about things and a clear perspective of how to get back on track. And the host of planets in Virgo makes sure that we stay grounded despite shaky ground around.
MARS TRANSITS GEMINI- ( OCTOBER 15 - NOVEMBER 13)
Mars transiting through Taurus moves to the sign of Gemini on the 15 th of October. It goes retrograde on the 30 th of October and would get back on the 13 th of November. Thus Mercury would be travelling through the airy sign of Gemini for about a month’s time. This would ask for certain adjustments from our side.
Mars through the sign of Gemini, the abode of Mercury gives us a good perspective of live. We would be able to explore new realms and novel thoughts. From Gemini, Mars would be aspecting the signs of Virgo, Scorpio and Sagittarius by its 4 th , 7 th and 8 th house aspects respectively. Mars in Gemini makes our plans quite flexible and mouldable with situations existing around.
Mars aspecting Virgo, also ruled over by Mercury brings our plans on paper to practical approach. Mars aspecting Scorpio gives us the power to embrace success in our projects. And Mars’ aspect on Sagittarius helps us to learn from our mistakes and take them as stepping stones to success.
SUN TRANSITS LIBRA-( OCTOBER 17 - NOVEMBER 16)
The Sun in Virgo as the month of October started would move over to the house of Libra on the 17 th and Venus would be entering Libra as well on the 18 th of October. With this Mercury would have the distinction to remain all in all in its own house of Virgo.
The Sun and Venus together in the house of Libra brings about a good balance in our relationships. In Libra, the Sun is said to be debilitated and is also preparing for a partial eclipse in the ensuing week. With an eclipse due soon, Libra seems to be a tough terrain for us to pass. However we would learn by mistakes and redo’s what is in the best interest for us and for the society as a whole.
VENUS TRANSITS LIBRA –(OCTOBER18 - NOVEMBER 11)
As October started, the planet Venus got so close to the Sun and was combust. Then followed by the Sun, Venus also enters the sign of Libra on the 18 th . It gets into exact conjunction with the Sun on the 22 nd of October. From then on, Venus travels very swiftly and escapes the glare of the Sun.
Though Venus is combust in Libra, we can pursue our passions. With the combust energy around, we might be tried to our extremes with no grips around, there seems to be no solid ground to stick on to these days.
But then Venus is strong in its own house of Libra and would be soon joined by Mercury in late October and this adds strength. And there are difficulties around with Venus in Libra being aspected by Rahu from Aries and Saturn from Capricorn. Rahu might bring about sudden events without any warning and Saturn likely to bring about stress and strain in our lives which might push us to the limits. It would bring on us the changes that are due whether we like it or not. We should learn that there is nothing perfect in this world and we should make our choices wisely.
SATURN GOES DIRECT- OCTOBER 22
Saturn that started its retrograde motion as June 2022 started finally goes direct on the 22 nd of October at 25 degrees of Capricorn. If you have major planetary placements in the last degrees of Capricorn and the first few degrees of Aquarius in your natal chart, then you might feel this heat. Saturn would be in this direct motion till the start of February 2023.
Then in mid-January of 2023, Saturn would shift its position to Aquarius. Hence till this period, Saturn would be aspecting the signs of Pisces, Cancer and Libra by its 3 rd , 7 th and 10 th house aspects respectively. At present, Jupiter is retrograding in its own sign of Pisces and this aspect of Saturn would be causing a drag in our activities. Though the sign of Cancer does not have any major planetary placements as of now, its ruler Moon which rules our moods and emotions is in for the effects of this Saturnian aspect. And Libra would be hosting the Sun, Venus and Mercury for quite sometime now. Look out what areas are ruled out by these signs in your chart and be patient, keep working hard and tread forward with caution.
NEW MOON IN LIBRA- OCTOBER 25 (PARTIAL SOLAR ECLIPSE)
The Moon joins the other luminary, the Sun at 8 degrees of Libra on the 25 th of October forming the New Moon for the month which would also be a partial solar eclipse. Libra would already be hosting the planets of Ketu, and Venus.
The Sun in Libra is said to be debilitated where it is in a discomfort zone. And Venus in Libra is also combust at this time. Little before the eclipse, Venus that had been trying to catch up with the Sun moves past it and this brings about a shift in our emotions and love pursuits.
With Venus being combust around this eclipse there would be a struggle between self-care and the universal theme. The debilitated Sun brings to focus the struggle that erupts between catering to our self-interests and the societal interests at large. The eclipse season would also see Libra being aspected by Rahu and Saturn. And this brings about the end of certain things and the start of new beginnings.
MERCURY TRANSITS LIBRA OCTOBER 26 - NOVEMBER 13
Mercury which was exalted in its own sign of Virgo enters the company of the host of planets in Libra on the 26 th of October. It crosses the eclipse, Ketu, the Sun and the Venus as well, as October ends. Mercury guides us in approaching the new starts being triggered by the eclipse with confidence and practicality. The eclipse is likely to bring about some emotions to the fore these days. And Mercury brings about a sense of objectivity and Venus inspires us to be more creative than before. From now on, Mercury and Venus would be travelling hand-in -hand till the end of the year. Mercury would be readying itself for yet another retrograde phase around the last few days of 2022.
