Cancer??

Cancer is a group of diseases characterized by uncontrolled cell division leading to growth of abnormal tissues. It arises from both genetic and environmental factors. Cell multiplication is a normal physiologic process that occurs in almost all tissues and under many circumstances, such as response to injury, immune responses, or to replace cells that have died.

Normally the balance between proliferation and cell death is tightly regulated to ensure the integrity of organs and tissues. Mutations in DNA that lead to cancer appear to disrupt these orderly processes. The uncontrolled and often rapid proliferation of cells can lead to either a benign tumor or a malignant tumor (cancer). Benign tumors do not spread to other parts of the body or invade other tissues, and they are rarely a threat to life. Malignant tumors can invade other organs, spread to distant locations and become life threatening. Cancer is a Moon disease, caused not only by retention of wastes but also morbid bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Cancer is a malignant disease.

Astrology and Cancer Links

Astrology can point to chronic health problems. Usually indicated by the Sun, Ascendant, 6th house and the signs associated with them indicates diseases and illnesses. Aspects made to the Sun and the Ascendant are very important. Neptune/Pisces association is prevalent with cancer diagnoses or other hard to diagnose illnesses until which time they are found. Jupiter can also be a cancer indicator when there is a tumor involved due to its association with excess growth. However, Pluto and Scorpio also are key players in the cancer arena.

Cancer Solutions

It is found that men taking daily selenium or vitamin E experience a reduced incidence of prostate cancer. Daily use of tamoxifen, for up to 5 years, has been demonstrated to reduce the risk of developing breast cancer in high-risk women. Cis-retinoic acid also has been shown to reduce risk of second primary tumors. Finasteride, an alpha-reductase inhibitor, has been shown to lower the risk of prostate cancer.

If Neptune is prevalent in the chart, look at its sign placement and be cognizant of changes in the area of the body ruled by that sign.

Pluto and Cancer

The difference between those who had a simple benign tumor and the malignant tumor appears to be the influence of Pluto in the natal chart. When the tumor was cancerous, the individual truly felt powerless and out of control. There seemed to be no way out. With the benign tumors, the individuals usually felt that they had some control and they could take action in eliminating the problem; they could see a clear way out of the situation. The development of breast cancer in women is rare with who were not experiencing Pluto transits or any serious anger issues. These women always recovered and there was little invasive surgery. This arises from congestion in the lymph – the root of this being dietary and a sedentary lifestyle.

Mesothelioma Cancer

The word 'asbestos' means inextinguishable property. The word 'mesothelioma' specifically means tumor. The tumor in the later stage takes the form of cancer and spreads in a proliferating way all around the mesothelium lining protecting the different internal organs of the body. Infection spreading around the mesothelial cells inside the body mainly circling the heart, the lungs and the stomach results into deadly consequences. The cancerous cells divide into endless numbers and take the shape of small tumors. Fluid deposition begins around the major organs of the body putting life at every risk. Ultimately a Mesothelioma cancer patient dies within two to three years from the diagnosis of the disease. No other valid reasons have been yet discovered apart from asbestos dust inhalation that is the primary cause of Mesothelioma cancer. There is no cure for mesothelioma. There are treatments to remove tumors, to slow the growth of tumors and indeed treatments that will improve the condition of the patient to some extent.

Lance Armstrong- Cancer Survivor

Lance Armstrong was an athlete who won the most sought after cyclist competition in the world the 'Tour de France' only after over coming cancer. The doctors gave him a 40 percent chance to live and no chance to return to his sport at all. The cancer had spread to his brain and after extensive chemotherapy his cancer went into remission. In his Mars Maha Dasha his great abilities came through. He entered Mars Maha Dasha in 1993. It was in October of 1996 that he was coughing up blood, finally went to the doctor and was diagnosed with testicular cancer. It had already spread to his lungs, abdomen and brain. After 4 rounds of chemotherapy, and surgery to remove 2 lesions on his brain and another to remove one testicle, his cancer was gone by 1997. Within the Mars Dasha he faced his greatest fears and reached his highest goals. Mars is the most powerful planet in this chart. It indicates his courage and drive in the 3rd, and indicates his health as ruler of the 6th. It also aspects the 6th multiplying its effects for this house and also is 6th from the Moon.

Cancer- Saturn& Moon Combination

Cancer, the dreaded term for malignant growths and lumps, seems to be of unusually common occurrence in recent times. More people than ever before seem to be struck by the disease which is very fatal.

Saturn, Moon and the 6th, 8th and 12th houses seems to figure prominently in the charts of cancer patients.

Cancer is related to the Ascendant or its lord to the 6th, 8th & 12th house or their lords. These dusthans rule such traumatic situations or events as would change the entire course of one's life.

Saturn characterises of all that hardens, hinders, depletes, and suppresses would seem to be the best fitted planet to be associated with cancer. It also relates to the mental anguish and depression related to the diagnosis of cancer.

Cancer Cure- Green tea

It has been found that tea, particularly green tea is effective in preserving health. The Chinese have used green tea for centuries to treat everything from headaches to depression.

One of the most significant health benefits that green tea appears to provide is prevention against certain types of cancer. It is also being tested for treatment of certain types of cancer. Tea leaves naturally contain catechins.

Catechins belong to the flavan-3-ol class of flavonoids. EGCG is one of the many catechins contained in tea, and is considered to be the most powerful anti-oxidant.
