Effects of Jupiter Retrograde

Effects of Jupiter Retrograde

Do you happen to have Jupiter retrograding in your natal chart? Then you would have a gret interest in garnering knowledge, travelling the world and embracing different cultures and traditions and a mystical connection to religion.

Due to its distance with respect to the Sun, Jupiter is said to go retrograde for about 4 months for every 9 month period. Jupiter would be in trine aspect (120 deg) once during its retrograde phase and again when it goes direct. When Jupiter goes retrograde there would be a slump in the outward expression of our knowledge, travel, and education.

Jupiter retrograde much like Mercury retrograde has the dubious distinction of making our travel plans go awry. There might be hindrances for our relocation prospects. Agreements of contracts made during the retrograde period cannot be meted out. It slows us down and is generally a downtime for all of us.

How does Retrograde Jupiter affect us?

When Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion goes retrograde we experience a hindrance in the way we grow, develop or expand in our lives. All our ambitions and plans seem futile and we would be hitting dead walls. But then do not worry as this would be a temporary phase.

We can use this Jupiter retrograde phase to delve deep into areas that are lagging behind. Take stock of the situation that is taking you back. You can asses if your efforts and choices are taking you in the right path, and if not this would be a good time to take a detour. Better late than never.

Jupiter retrograde also makes us to be a bit more selfish and aggressive towards possession of material resources that need to be curbed. If things do not go the way as planned, then do not push hard, try another way or mode. Do not use force to gain things. Take a pause to reflect on situations and make amends.
