Chiron, Ceres, Juno, Pallas Athena and Vesta are the frequently used asteroids in astrology these days. They also play an important and necessary part in their own right in astrological calculations. Although they are not as strong as the planets, the asteroids can be very useful in locating extra information within our birth charts.

Asteroid Eros in Astrology

In mythology, Ceres was the goddess of the harvest and was credited with teaching humans how to grow, preserve, and prepare grains. She was thought to be responsible for the fertility of the land.
Ceres in a birth chart can indicate nurturing . Ceres people are very good at mothering regardless of their sex and may express this quality in some way or the other. They deal with food, possibly as a vocation.

Chiron was discovered in 1977. It is named after a centaur ( that is half human, half horse) who was healer and teacher to many gods. It is said that when he died he was placed in the sky in the constellation of Sagittarius. Chiron appears to rule philosophy and healing, and represents the principal of holistic understanding. She represents the creative, intelligent woman. People who have Pallas prominent in their birth charts may serve or care for others.
