Synastry misconception

Five Common Misconceptions in Synastry

There are five common misconceptions in Synastry. We will list them and tell you in detail about them. These misconceptions are quite widespread.

Seventh House is responsible for all types of relationships - committed or not.

Seventh House on the birth chart governs marriage commitments and not relationship commitments. However, couples in a relationship analyze the seventh house when deciding if their partner is compatible with them or not.

Synastry 7houses

The fifth house more widely governs the relationship sector. Thus, you must analyze the fifth house to determine compatibility between you and your partner. If there are a lot of planets in your partner’s fifth house, they are not serious about a marriage commitment with you. Also, if their fifth house conflicts with their fourth, eighth, or seventh house, they are only playing with your feelings. On the other hand, if their seventh house is inactive, they won’t marry you. It is time to break off and move on if you were in for a lifetime commitment with them.

However, if their seventh house is partially active and yours is fully active, they are serious about you but do not want to commit yet. If you like someone and want to propose to them, you must analyze their eleventh house. If the planets in their eleventh house are very active, they only consider you as a friend and would reject you.

Hard Aspects are bad for a relationship

A conjunction of two or more planets is an aspect. Moon/Venus or Sun/Moon conjunctions are considered healthy for a relationship and add smoothness to it. However, Mars/Pluto and Moon/Venus conjunctions are considered as the hard aspects. They can erect complications in a relationship.

It is a common belief that hard aspects shall be avoided or warned against. However, in reality, they are necessary for the growth of a relationship. They push the couple to see the world through new lenses and perspectives.

Hard aspects from another’s chart to our Mercury change our perspectives. Meanwhile, hard aspects from another’s chart to our Venus reflect the expression of our love. Easy conjunctions, trines, and sextiles will bore off the couple. These won’t lead them to any growth. Eventually, the couple will start taking one another for granted.

Good Venus/Mars interaction connotes good sex lives

It is not true that a good Venus/Mars interaction connotes a good sexual life. Venus/Mars is not the hottest aspect, but Saturn/Moon is. Moon aspect signifies sexual desire, and Saturn can reach any level to fulfill it.

Meanwhile, Venus, on the other hand, is representative of what we value and desire. Mars reflects how we fulfill the desires of Venus. Mars has aggression, and Venus has reception. When two are in synch, they form a good bonding but not enough to completely represent sexual life.

So, it is better to first analyze charts of both individuals, separately for sexual capacity and love. If planets in the eighth house of any individual are malefic, the positive Venus/Mars aspect is useless.

Composite charts indicate the relation of the couple with each other

It is not true because composite charts do not reflect the relationship between two people rather the energy that they give off together. Inter-aspects reflect how the couple treats each other.

The composite charts represent what a couple can do together. If for example, the couple has Moon/Pluto conjunction in their composite chart, they will both feel emotions intensely and will transform each other for the better. Also, the houses that composite charts fall in decide what sort of energy the couple will give off. If the composite chart is in the fifth house, the couple will have a major focus on their children. They will likely send their children abroad for higher education.

However, if the composite chart falls in the tenth house, the couple will work together to achieve prestige and reputation in their career paths. Meanwhile, if the composite chart falls in the eighth house, their sexual life will be a hell of a ride. Also, note that composite charts exist between married people only.

All planets are equal

Synastry Solarsystem

All planets are not equal in synastry. Some planets and aspects have more weightage over others. Sun, Moon, angle rulers, dispositor of the Sun, Venus, Mars, and Saturn are important. Other aspects like Mercury/Jupiter or Vertex/Chiron are useless if the basic relationship planets of two individuals fail to connect.

Thus, if Pluto in your chart connects with numerous planets in another person’s chart, but Pluto does not have a significant role in your chart, you won’t have feelings for the other person. Their relationship with your or feelings for you will be one-sided. It is because your journey is not Plutonian. Similar dynamics occur with the other two outer planets, Uranus and Neptune. These planets do not hold much importance in synastry. Thus, not all planets are equal in synastry.
