Venus Transits Libra -(September 1 – November 4)
Mercury Transits Virgo - (September 6 – 25)
Sun Transits Virgo -(September 16 – October 17)
Mars Transits Cancer -(September 18 – November 12)
Venus Transits Libra – (September 1 to November 4)
Venus has played a leading role among the inner planets through much of 2026. Earlier in the year, several planets gathered in Aquarius near Rahu, and as Mercury slowed into retrograde motion, Venus moved ahead of the pack. After moving through Aries, Leo, and Virgo, Venus enters Libra on September 1. Libra is one of Venus' own signs, making this transit especially important for relationships, diplomacy, fairness, cooperation, finances, and agreements.
Issues that became prominent earlier in the year may now return for review or possible resolution. September offers a valuable opportunity to restore balance before Venus begins her retrograde cycle. Venus enters Libra on September 1, turns retrograde at 15 degrees Libra on October 2, reaches inferior conjunction with the Sun on October 24, returns to Virgo on November 5, and turns direct at 29 degrees Virgo on November 13. Venus returns to Libra again from November 21 through January 1.
During September, Venus remains direct and moves through the first half of Libra. This is a good period for repairing relationships, reconsidering finances, improving agreements, and establishing stronger boundaries. Mars later enters Cancer and begins influencing Venus, while Mercury joins Venus in Libra near the end of the month. These combinations suggest that negotiations and relationships may become more complicated during October. Use September to strengthen connections, simplify financial matters, release unrealistic expectations, and establish greater stability.
Mercury Transits Virgo – (September 6 to 25)
Mercury moves through Virgo during much of September, bringing practical, analytical, and productive energy. Virgo supports Mercury's ability to organize, plan, analyze details, solve problems, and improve routines. Saturn's influence encourages discipline, while Mars provides additional motivation during the first half of the month. This makes September an excellent time to finish pending work, reorganize schedules, improve systems, and refine important plans.
With Venus simultaneously strong in Libra, practical thinking can combine well with cooperation and creativity. Pay particular attention to physical and mental health routines. Establishing better habits now may make October's more active planetary atmosphere easier to manage.
New Moon in Leo – September 10
The New Moon occurs on September 10 at approximately 25 degrees Leo. Although the Sun, Moon, and Ketu are all in Leo, the New Moon occurs too far from Ketu to create an eclipse. However, themes connected with the recent eclipse period may still linger. New Moons encourage introspection, rest, and renewal. Energy levels may temporarily decrease, making the days around September 10 better suited to reduced activity and emotional reflection.
Use this period to reflect on friendships, partnerships, groups, and personal goals. Consider what still inspires you and what may need to be released. The pause surrounding the New Moon can provide clarity about the direction you want to take during the second half of September.
Sun Transits Virgo – (September 16 to October 17)
The Sun enters Virgo on September 16, shifting attention toward practical matters, organization, responsibility, and improvement. At the same time, the Sun begins opposing Saturn in Pisces. This combination can create tension between personal authority and external responsibilities. The Sun represents identity, confidence, leadership, and self-expression, while Saturn represents limitations, discipline, duty, and accountability. Their opposition becomes exact around October 3–4.
As this aspect develops, issues involving authority figures, hierarchy, boundaries, responsibility, or leadership may become more noticeable. Saturn's retrograde motion may also create opportunities to reconsider past conflicts, accept apologies, or establish healthier limits. Rahu in Aquarius and Ketu in Leo remain quietly active in the background. Their influence may create an unusual sense of uncertainty or emotional distance. The Virgo Sun encourages simplicity. Focus on what is practical, necessary, and manageable rather than allowing unnecessary complications to dominate your attention.
Mars Transits Cancer – (September 18 to November 12)
Mars enters Cancer on September 18 and joins Jupiter, beginning an important planetary interaction that develops further into 2027. Mars, Jupiter, and later Ketu will interact through Cancer and Leo over the coming months, suggesting major developments involving growth, courage, power, emotions, and change. Jupiter and Mars are natural allies. Jupiter contributes wisdom, perspective, and expansion, while Mars brings courage and action.
However, Jupiter is exalted in Cancer while Mars is debilitated. This may allow Jupiter's wisdom to moderate some of Mars' more impulsive tendencies. Mars in Cancer is not ideal for aggressive or rapid progress. Action can become emotional, indirect, or slower than expected. However, this placement can be useful for confronting difficult feelings and understanding the emotional causes behind anger or frustration. Mars also influences Libra, Capricorn, and Aquarius from Cancer. Its influence on Rahu in Aquarius may increase determination to pursue difficult goals despite resistance. The key is to combine courage with emotional awareness instead of acting impulsively.
Mercury Transits Libra – (September 25 to December 1)
Mercury enters Libra on September 25 and joins Venus for an extended transit that includes a retrograde cycle. Mercury moves direct through Libra from September 25 to October 24, turns retrograde from October 24 to November 13, and then moves direct again until entering Scorpio on December 1. Mercury represents communication, planning, analysis, information, and the intellectual mind.
In Libra, Mercury focuses strongly on relationships, negotiations, social interaction, agreements, and creative ideas. With Venus also in Libra and Rahu influencing the sign, communication and social activity may increase rapidly. New ideas, conversations, opportunities, and changing plans could arrive quickly. The atmosphere may be exciting, but it could also become mentally overwhelming. For this reason, September is an excellent time to reduce unnecessary responsibilities. Finish important projects, abandon plans that no longer have value, and organize your highest priorities. The direct phase beginning September 25 is particularly useful for agreements, communication, creative work, and planning before Mercury turns retrograde in October.
Full Moon in Pisces – September 26
The Full Moon occurs on September 26 at approximately 10 degrees Pisces. This Full Moon feels like a point of completion before a more active period begins. People preparing to launch projects may find September better suited for final preparations, while October could bring greater momentum. Venus and Mercury in Libra also support creativity, editing, communication, and artistic expression. Rahu's influence may contribute unusual ideas and unconventional solutions. The Full Moon reminds us that creativity requires grounding. Not every idea needs immediate action.
Overall, September 2026 is a month for preparation rather than rushing ahead. Organize priorities, complete unfinished work, simplify routines, clear unnecessary clutter, and strengthen important relationships. The planetary atmosphere becomes considerably more dynamic in October, making the work completed during September especially valuable.
