Mercury Enters Aquarius - March 1

As we enter the month of March in 2016, the planets in the sky are found in pairs: Jupiter and Rahu (Moon's north node) in Leo, Mars and Saturn in Scorpio, Venus and Mercury in Capricorn and the Sun with Ketu (Moon's south node) in Aquarius. On March 1, the Moon will be joining Saturn and Mars in Scorpio.

Mid-day on March 1, Mercury leaves Capricorn and moves into Aquarius, joining Sun and Ketu in the fixed sign that is co-ruled by Saturn and Rahu. Thus Mercury gets into a unique neighbourhood for the month of March. Aquarius and Scorpio natives would have a big time in the month of March due to the presence of Mercury in association with Ketu and Sun in the house of Aquarius.

Venus Transits Aquarius- March 7

Venus enters Aquarius on Monday, March 7. This will make a five planet grouping in the air sign of Aquarius being ruled by Saturn and Rahu: Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury and Ketu. This would be result in a total solar eclipse on March 8-9.

Venus is connected with art, emotions, and harmony. It brings together all the planets and their effects together in harmony. Being with its natural friend, Mercury would be much helpful too. Aquarius is ruled by Saturn which brings about a detached atmosphere in our lives. But this combination of planets brings a unique truth out to the fore too.

Aquarius is concerned and connected with humanitarian works and hence such works all around the world would get their due attention. Venus' movement into the house of Aquarius would bring about compassion and love to the humanitarian environment. But Aquarius being a fixed sign, might hamper some works and causes considerable delays.

New Moon - Solar Eclipse (March 8 - 9)

The New Moon for the month of March occurs on March 8th, as the Sun and Moon join together at 25° Aquarius, in the nakshatra of Purvabhadra. This would be a total solar eclipse that will be visible from the equatorial region of the Pacific ocean. The moment of greatest eclipse happens either on March 8 or March 9 as per your location on the earth.

During this new Moon, we will have Sun, Moon, Venus, Mercury and Ketu in Aquarius and in the opposite sign, Leo, we will have Rahu with retrograde Jupiter. Also the outer planet, Neptune would be in the sign of Aquarius at 16°.

Mars will be aspecting the planets in the house of Aquarius, while Saturn is the ruler of Aquarius and aspects the planets in Leo. In this way, all of the planets will be participating in this solar eclipse of March, 2016.

The energy of the Moon is low during this time of the month, and this can be felt as a lack of energy in the body and mind. With the eclipse looming, the results would be doubled. Solar eclipses normally bring about world-changing events. Even if such events do not occur events that change our perspective of life on this world would change.

Sun Transits Pisces - March 14

The Sun in the house of Aquarius during the start of the month of March moves onto the house of Pisces on March 14th. Then Sun would be placed in the house of Jupiter, namely Pisces and Jupiter would be in the abode of Sun, Leo. This exchange of places supports both the planets involved in the exchange. But then there would be constant friction and bone of contention.

With Sun moving into Pisces, it would be the only one in a dual sign, the rest of the planets along with Moon would be in fixed signs. This would bring about some struggles in our lives. In general, Sun in the house of Pisces would be giving positive results for the month of March, 2016.

Mercury Transits Pisces -March 18

Mercury would be transiting to the house of Pisces on March 18th and would be there till April 2nd when it moves onto the house of Aries. Mercury is said to be debilitated in the house of Pisces. This might bring about some problems connected with communication and learning as when it happens when Mercury goes retrograde. Even small works might take in much of your energy. Stay afloat with your spiritual pursuits and take things on a lighter vein.

With Mercury exiting from the house of Aquarius, Ketu and Venus would be left in the house of Aquarius and they would be preparing for the upcoming lunar eclipse.

Full Moon -Lunar Eclipse in Virgo -March 2

We would be experiencing a second eclipse in the month of March, it would be a lunar eclipse which would be penumbral. The Moon will be at 9°12' of Virgo, in the nakshatra of Uttaraphalguni. The Sun will be opposite to that at 9°12' of Pisces, in the nakshatra of Uttarabhadra.

This eclipse is likely to cause some instability in our works. As the Moon is eclipsed, emotions and feelings being ruled by the Moon get strongly affected and fluctuate for the day. Hence you are advised to lay low . As Moon would be aspected by Mercury and Sun your decision-making processes would also go haywire. Do not start anything new for the day. Wait for the eclipse to pass by

Saturn Retrograde March 25 - August 13

Saturn begins a retrograde cycle at 23° Scorpio (Jyestha nakshatra) which will conclude at 15°42' Scorpio (Anuradha) on August 13, 2016. This is the second retrograde cycle of Saturn or Shani during this Scorpio transit, the previous one being in March 14, 2015 - August 2, 2015.

This retrograde motion of the Saturn might bring about a period of relaxation in our lives in all areas as its direct motion normally hampers our efforts. But beware as Saturn has the notorious character of brining in difficult situations in our lives form nowhere.

In the house of Scorpio, Saturn gets to meet Mars. Hence the next few months might see a bit of intensity in your lives.
