In February 2016, Rahu would be joining Jupiter in the house of Leo and Ketu would be into the house of Aquarius. The conjunction of Rahu with Jupiter will continue till Jupiter moves to the house of Virgo on August 11, 2016. In general, Jupiter posited in the house of Leo, the house of the Sun is very auspicious.
Jupiter and Rahu will be in the nakshatra (lunar mansion) called Uttaraphalguni as the month of February begins. Uttaraphalguni is also ruled by the Sun. Rahu is related to fulfilment of one's desires and wishes while Jupiter is concerned with the legitimacy involved. Hence there might be some clashes here..
Overall, Jupiter has more strength in Leo to do the right thing than Rahu has the strength to do the wrong thing, so with a little effort on our part, we can find the way to do the right things in life.
New Moon in Capricorn - February 8
The Sun and the Moon come together at 26° Capricorn on Monday, the 8th of February. They would have the influence of Saturn from the house of Scorpio. The nakshatra occupied by the luminaries would be Dhanishtha ruled by Mars. Mars would be in the house of Libra also in a tight aspect with the luminaries.
This puts the new Moon under the strong influence of both Saturn - the ruler of Capricorn and Mars ruling the nakshtra of Dhanistha. There would be mixed feelings on acccount of this..
Mercury Transits Capricorn (February 8 - March 1)
On February 8th, 2016 Sun remains in Capricorn while Moon moves out and Mercury moves in. Mercury is returning back to the house of Capricorn after its recent retrograde motion. Here Mercury would be under the influence of Saturn as Capricorn's ruler is Saturn. This is likely to slow down things related to Mercury like learning, communications and the like for the month. If routine is practised or adhered to then there would not be much of a commotion.
Venus Transits Capricorn (February 12 - March 7)
Venus also moves into the house of Capricorn on the 12th of February. Thus Mercury and Venus together called as friends or neighbours transit the house of Saturn together for the month of February. Venus is likely to give an artistic twist to one's pursuits in this period. Mercury added together is likely to communicate your visual or other artistic talents in a new light. However Saturn's aspect on the duo is likely to subdue the overall effects.
On February 20, Venus and Mercury would be moving to the nakshatra Shravana. This indicates that listening would do more good than harm for this month. The aspects of Mars on the Mercury-Venus duo would improve the energy levels and bring passion in whatever you do for the time period.
Sun Transits Aquarius (February 13 - March 14)
Sun would be entering the house of Aquarius on the 13th of February and would be stationed there for a month's time. Then it would be in conjunction with Ketu or one of the Moon's nodes. This combination of the Sun along with Ketu would be in direct opposition to the Jupiter-Rahu combo in the house of Leo. In other words, Sun would be aspecting its own house of Leo. Some positive outcomes can be expected due to this transit.
Mars Enters Scorpio February 20
On February 20, Mars would be coming our of the house of Libra and into its own house of Scorpio. Then it gets into conjunction with Saturn which would last till September2016. But then they would be in different lunar mansions or nakshtras till around August 2016. Around mid- June to mid-July Mars would be going retrograde , and thus into the house of Libra for a temporary period of time. Mars and Saturn are not much friendly though.
Saturn exalts Mars (Mars exalted in Capricorn) and Mars debilitates Saturn (Saturn debilitated in Aries.) The two signs most affected by Saturn and Mars during this long conjunction will be Scorpio and Taurus.
