Astrology - Eligibility

Eligibility

The profession of astrology is advancing rapidly. More and more people are recognizing that astrology provides valuable insight into the complexity of 21st century living. Our members need to be professionally prepared to meet the demand for astrological services. There are number of universities which offer graduation and post graduation in astrology.

There are also certificate programs which provide short term courses in astrology. Apart from this the ISAR (International Society for Astrological RESEARCH) provides resources for members to advance their skills including its CAP (Certified Astrological Professional) program. The program includes education/training, consulting skills, and ethics. In establishing the educational requirements for ISAR Certification, educators from top astrology schools around the world have been consulted. Many of their recommendations have been incorporated into this program.

To qualify for ISAR's CAP designation, members must provide documentation that they have met all educational and skill requirements set by the committee. These requirements have been formulated by some of the leading astrology teachers in the world. A Certification Committee reviews all exams and documentation. Upon successful completion of all requirements, applicants will be granted ISAR CAP (Certified Astrological Professional) status. Applicants can meet ISAR Certification requirements in stages.

ISAR provides a competency exam in astrological knowledge and chart interpretation to ensure that the educational criteria have been met and that the application of that knowledge is understood through interpretive skills. Ethics training can be attained through Ethics Seminars that are offered at conferences or taught by schools following the ISAR ethics document.
