Azimene Degrees, Why is it traditionally considered Lame or deficient or weak? Find Who gets affected?

Certain degrees in astrology  are associated with either weaknesses or debilitation. And these are termed as Azimene Degrees as found in the writings of William Lilly in his book Christian astrology. His works have been based on some 16th century astrologers. Natives who have chronic medical issues or disabilities have specific degrees that are prominent in their birth charts. There are also degrees that denote masculine or feminine energy, and if the native is of light color or dark complexion. 

The Azimene Degrees

The Azimene Degrees are also known s as Lame or Deficient degrees. If the Ascendant, or the Ascendant lord or the Moon happen to have these Azimene degrees in one’s natal chart or horary chart, then the native or the one who asked the query might have some afflictions in his or her  life. 

Generally, those with disabilities like blindness, deafness or incureable diseases or shortage of limbs usually have the Azimene degrees reflected in their Ascendant or its ruler or the Moon. 

These are the Azimene Degrees

0°- Aries

5°-9° Taurus; 

0°- Gemini

8°-14° Cancer;

17°, 26°, and 27° Leo; 

0°- Virgo

0°- Libra

18° and 27° Scorpio;

0°, 6°, 7°, 17° and 18° Sagittarius,

25°-28° Capricorn, 

17° and 19° Aquarius.

Masculine and Feminine Degrees

The zodiac signs can be broken down into dualities: masculine and feminine. Masculine energy is physical, extroverted and what we project to the world outside. While Feminine energy is introverted, it denotes our inner capabilities. 

The masculine signs are Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. The Feminine signs are Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, Capricorn, and Pisces. Irrespective of whether we are male are female, we all have both the male and female energies imbibed in us. 

However, certain degrees portend either masculine or feminine characteristics. This has been brought out by ancient astrologers and has also been mentioned by William Lilly in his works.

Light or Dark Degrees

And there are certain degrees that are termed as Light and Dark. If the native has a light degree then he or she would be fair and have minor imperfections bodily and if a dark degree is found, then the native would be dark in complexion and the imperfections would be more pronounced or visible.

The Smoky Degrees

Some degrees found in the chart are called as Smoky degrees which indicates that the native is neither very dark nor very light but of medium complexion, is neither short nor tall but of medium stature and would be of mixed nature in all aspects.

Deep or Pitted Degrees

These degrees if found in ones’ natal chart, reflected in the Ascendant, the lord of the Ascendant or the Moon point out that the native is in deep trouble and does not have much help to get him or her out of the pit.

Fortune Degrees

There are some degrees that are associated with material resources, luck and fortune. If the cusp of the 2nd house, the second house lord or Jupiter or the Part of fortune have these degrees in one’s chart, then the native is going to be damn rich.
