The miss curve competition is a competition for real plus size women. It is an offspring of the premier plus size convention in the country, The Curvy Revolution hosted at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas.

The Miss Curve Competition is committed to uplifting the plus size woman by highlighting her attributes and positives, giving her a voice within the mainstream community.

Although the focus is on plus size women, the competition stresses that the focus should be on beautiful, talented and strong women, no matter what their size or shape.

The competition therefore embodies these beliefs and has created a competition that surpasses all others.One of the central components of the competition is that you have to be a size 12 or higher.

The general requirements of the competition are as follows:

•Contestants must be born female, and wear a size 12 or higher in clothing.
•You must be between the ages of 19 and 36.
•You have to be a resident of either USA or Canada.
•Contestants must enter the competition no later than July 31, 2010.
•The 10 finalists will battle it out on Saturday 19, 2011 in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood.

In order to register for the competition, you need to provide $25 entry fee which is non refundable, and at least 3 web size photos.There will then be the opportunity to provide information about yourself and there will be some initial interview questions to answer.

The full rewards for winning can be found on the Miss Curve Competition website (misscurve.com), but they include a $500 cash reward and a photoshoot.Contestants have to campaign for their votes in order to win – so it’s important to put as much effort into winning votes as you do in to taking the pictures.

A full list of the celebrity judges involved will be released on July 1st, 2010.As with any major competition or organization, your conduct is key to the reputation of the organization.

Contestants must conduct themselves in a proper lady-like manor and portray high moral standards.Contestants will not be permitted to drink alcoholic beverages, smoke or use foul language at any time during the Competition.
