Campbell bags Outstanding Contribution gong at Elle Style awards
Supermodel Naomi Campbell has bagged the Outstanding Contribution gong at the Elle Style awards.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown"s wife Sarah honoured the 39-year-old catwalk queen for her 25-year career and her work as global patron of The White Ribbon Alliance (WRA), which promotes safe pregnancy.
Sarah introduced Campbell at the central London ceremony as "a woman who has campaigned tirelessly on behalf of the WRA" before presenting her with the honour.
Dannii Minogue, the X Factor darling who recently announced her pregnancy, was awarded with an Elle TV Star prize. Her famous sister, Kylie, was on hand to present it.
Claudia Schiffer took the Model of the Year award, reports the Mirror.
Bafta winners Carey Mulligan and Colin Firth won the Actress and Actor of the year awards.
