Christina Hendricks - former sportswear model
Christina Hendricks has revealed she used to model sportswear.The 35-year-old actress portrays sexy secretary Joan Harris in US TV series Mad Men, which is set in an advertising agency in the 1960s.
Christina has been trying to be an actress since she was a teenager, and starred in her first TV movie in 1999. The curvaceous beauty admits her road to stardom wasn’t always smooth, and has now revealed she modelled sporty outfits for fashion magazine Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) when she was younger to make ends meet.
Christina let slip her past at an event during New York Fashion Week earlier today, and WWD was quick to let the world know. “It"s official, Christina Hendricks did confirm that yes she did indeed model for WWD sportswear shoots back in day! #nyfw (sic),” a message on the WWD Twitter page read.
Christina has been attending many shows during fashion week, and is reportedly keen to learn more about fashion so she keeps her newfound “style icon” status.
