Top Model screening in San Fernando

HAVE YOU got the look for international fashion modeling? Coco Velvet International is searching the length and breadth of TT for the next generation of professional fashion models. In all, 60 young men and women will be selected at the Top Model 2010 screenings.
Screening one was held in Scarborough in October while the Port-of-Spain screening took place at the National Academy for the Performing Arts on June 26. The third and final screening is on Saturday at the Creative Arts Centre, San Fernando, from 1 pm - 4 pm. Models selected at the three screenings will be enrolled in an intensive five week training workshop intended to bring them up to international modeling standards.
The CVI Professional Fashion Model Workshop is facilitated by Coco Velvet International Model Training Academy. Modules include communications skills development, image and wardrobe management, deportment and etiquette training and international fashion modeling technique. Selected participants will be trained free of charge to work in the fashion industry as professional print, or runway models. The personal development elements of the CVI model training programme are expected to boost the models confidence and self esteem to the point where they will be better equipped to achieve their life goals and aspirations.
The Top Model semi-finals on July 25 will see the 60 trainees reduced to 20 male and female models for the grand finals of Top Model Trinidad and Tobago to be held on August 8 in Port-of- Spain.The male and female winners of Top Model of Trinidad and Tobago will receive an all expenses covered trip to New York for an interview with a major Manhattan model management; a US$1000 cash award and modeling contracts with the Caribbean Academy of Fashion and Design at UTT.
Models attending the San Fernando screening should take note of the following criteria for international modeling: Females should be between the ages of 14021 and stand over 5ft 7 inchesPlease wear a short fitted garment with high heels and bring a swimsuit (2-piece or whole suit).Males must be between 14-30 yrs and stand over 5 ft 10 inches.A slim, proportioned physique and a dynamic personality are considered assets in the modeling industry. Prior modeling experience is not required. No registration fee will be charged.
