American Girl model tryouts at Plimoth Plantation
Do you know an American girl who should be walking a runway? Plimoth Plantation is looking for local models to participate in its 2009 American Girl Fashion Show.
Potential models must be either a size 6X, or a size 10.
Auditions will be held at Plimoth Plantation’s Henry Hornblower Visitor Center from 2 to 4 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to noon March 7.
Interested families should visit www.plimoth.org to download the necessary application and to learn more about becoming an American Girl Fashion Show model. There is a $10 application-processing fee for each model auditioning.

Join us for a fun-filled event designed especially for girls and their families, friends and favorite dolls! Celebrate the experience of being a girl, whether yesterday or today, through a colorful presentation of historical and contemporary fashions.
To celebrate the arrival of Spring, a delicious tea will be served in a delightful setting. Enter to win door prizes and learn how clothing has changed over the years to reflect history, culture, and girls’ individual styles. And, all attendees are invited to ‘step back in time’ and visit with Wampanoag and Colonial families on Plimoth Plantation’s living history sites before or after the event!
All proceeds benefit Plimoth Plantation’s Education Department.

All tryouts will take place in the Visitor Center (lobby and theaters).

Thursday, February 19, from 2 to 4 pm
Saturday, March 7, from 10 am - 12 noon
$10 fee per applicant.
All rehearsals will take place in the Peabody Pavillion.
First Rehearsal: April 4, 9 am
Second Rehearsal: April 18, 9 am
Dress Rehearsal: April 23, 4 pm
