Two local teenagers were recognized for their modeling talents this weekend at the SpotLight Event held in Marietta and sponsored by Blue Image Studios.

The SpotLight Event is a model, talent and acting event.
The competition is judged and seen by the top agents and scouts from the best names in the industry in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Japan and Europe.


Participants showcase their talents on stage and on the runway.
They compete for awards, photo shoots, magazine tear sheets, magazine covers and agency contracts.

On Sunday, May 23, 15-year-old Shin Kasahara won the Overall Top Male Model Award. He also received three agency callbacks.
A student at Coosa High School, Shin is the son of Yoshi and Angela Kasahara of Rome.

Haven Kandasammy won the Supermodel Award, which includes a free Image Blue Studios photo shoot and a tear sheet and/or cover spot in Supermodels Magazine. She also received two agency callbacks.

Haven will be a student at Pepperell High School this fall and is the daughter of Dawn Treglown of Lindale and Daniel Kandasammy of Silver Creek.Both Shin and Haven were represented by Lorren & Macy’s Modeling and Talent Agency in Cedartown.
