Spectrolite is a trade name for Labradorite, owing to the spectal colors in the gemstone.Spectrolite is composed of Calcium Sodium Aluminum Silicate. As Spectrolite is a very personal stone, individual preference is an important factor when considering the value of any individual gem.

Legend:

Spectrolite was first discovered in Yalmaa, which is also known as the Gem Village of Finland, during World War II when stones was being quarried along Finland's eastern border for the purpose of making antitank obstacles.
