Eligibility
To pursue a career in oceanography one should have atleast a minimum qualification of bachelor's degree in this field. There are number of institutes/universities which offers postgraduate course in Oceanography or Marine Biology.
There are also specialized branches of study in this field. As the work is highly specialized professional training is mandatory for a career in this field.
Knowledge of swimming and diving are essential attributes to this field. Apart from academic qualifications one should have characters like curious and analytical mind, co-operative nature to work in a team, love for exploring new places and appreciative of nature and its wonders.
