Education requirements for interior designers can vary by position, but some education is recommended for entry-level positions. The course of study covers subjects like Art & Basic Design, Furniture Design, Furnishings & Fittings, Design, Construction & Materials, History of Interior Design, Services, Professional Management-Estimating & Budgeting, Display, and Computer Aided Designing. Other areas covered included lettering, properties of materials and paint technology, exhibition design etc.
Interior designers' success depend on their ability to satisfy clients for that, they must posses certain skills- artistic, technical interpersonal and management skills. Interior designers need to be imaginative, creative, self-motivated and good at listening. Excellent communication skill is essential for an interior designer, as they need to describe their ideas and requirements to clients and other professionals such as builders and electricians.
