Mercury Transits Capricorn –(February 3 – 22)
Mercury which was traversing the house of Sagittarius now transits to the zodiac house of Capricorn on February 3rd and stays there till the 22nd. Thus Mercury which was in the house of Jupiter now moves to the house ruled over by Saturn for now.
Mercury would now come away from the aspects of Rahu. However Mercury would be flanked by Saturn in Sagittarius and Ketu or the Dragon's tail in the house of Aquarius which is quite problematic. Thus Mercury has a rough journey ahead through Capricorn.
Bu then Mercury receives the benefic aspects of Jupiter from the house of Virgo. This would be a good time to exert as much as you can in your professional and personal life. The ideas you had in your mind might now take wings.
Mercury is in the house of Saturn, and Saturn is in the house of Jupiter. And Jupiter is in the house of Mercury. Hence there is a good mutual support of these three planets now. Jupiter which was Direct for sometime now turns retrograde at 30 deg Virgo on the 5th of February and resumes direct motion on June 9th, 2017. Actually speaking, Jupiter is not going backwards, but from an earthly perspective seems to be so.
When Jupiter is retrograde it behaves as if it were in its opposite house of Pisces. Pisces being its own house brings positive energy around. Jupiter generally rules over growth, abundance, and truth and positiveness. Being retrograde these things might get affected on a larger level. The retrograde motion of Jupiter is also an apt time to renew, review and re-tune your works.
Full Moon in Cancer – Lunar Eclipse - February 10
On February 10th, the Moon in Cancer 29 deg opposes the Sun at 29 deg Capricorn. It is also on this day that the Earth blocks the Moon and causes the first lunar eclipse of the year 2017. This would be a penumbral eclipse which would be visible in almost all of the earth but for Far-east Asia, Australia and some Pacific islands. The nodes of the Moon namely Rahu would be in the zodiac house of Leo while Ketu would be Aquarius.
The signs of Leo with Rahu and Cancer with Moon would be mainly affected by this Lunar eclipse. Moon is in its own house of Cancer. The Moon rules over our emotions and passions. Hence this eclipse would be a good time to control our mind and tune it to our needs an desires.
Sun Enters Aquarius- February 12
On February 12th, 2017 the Sun enters the house of Aquarius which is the home of its enemy Saturn. As Saturn plays host to its worst enemy in the skies, we might need to go through some uncomfortable environment. Sun was in the house of Capricorn also being ruled over by Saturn for the past one month period.
The Sun would be receiving the third house aspects of Saturn from the house of Sagittarius and the aspects of Rahu from the house of Leo, ironically Saturn and Rahu seem to be the rulers of the house of Aquarius where Sun is transiting now. Mercury would be entering the house of Aquarius on February 22nd and joins Sun already transiting Aquarius. The exact conjunction of Mercury with Sun occurs at 23 deg Aquarius on the 6th of March, 2017.
Saturn would be aspecting Mercury transiting its home of Aquarius and this might call for some sort of detachment in your life as far as communication is concerned. Rahu would also be aspecting Mercury asking for a good mental balance throughout the period for goodness in life.
